Dede and I want to thank you for coming. Your support allowed us to have a “tour” guide and miss long lines. Coming when we did allowed us good parking and better times to complete the tour and start the trip home (a long way for the Fort Walton , Niceville, Gulf Breeze, Slidell and Baker folks).

The professional comments from yall are appreciated as it was the first time Dede and I tried to develop such a cruise.

However the real enthusiast is Brad Christman who sustained damage to his C6—returned home—got his C3 and caught up with us. Dede and I would have just sit in the garage and griped (probably cried).

The club officers really helped by frontloading the cost—again minimizing lost time. We also thank the Sunset Club—without their help we couldn’t build a “tour”. Kelly and Deb got he word out. Ron and Angela hooked up with Louisiana friends again securing the numbers required to have a tour. For the record there were 30 of us.

Bellingrath is busy. When we left there had to be thousands waiting in the ticket line plus a full parking lot and traffic backed up at least 6 miles. We just couldn’t imagine waiting in that line. We were tired enough as it was. We got home at 9pm after stopping to fill up the vet.

A tour in the spring is recommended to include the river cruise or go to the only car show they allow in the spring. The house tour is also good. The car show registration includes the garden and the crowds are not as great. Now I really know the way. Azaleas are normally in bloom with many other varieties.

We were privileged to have met Mr. Bellingrath. He would surely be surprised to see what we saw last night. The staff was good to us.

Dede and I wish all a “MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR”
